Your Body Knows What Your Mind Cannot Yet Say
There comes a point where grief is no longer just something you think about, you feel it in your body. The tightness in your chest. The weight you carry in your shoulders. The exhaustion that no amount of rest seems to fix.
Grief lives in the nervous system. It settles into the muscles, the breath, and the spaces where you've learned to hold everything together. And yet, so much of conventional healing asks you to think your way through it, to process, to analyze, to move on.
Grieve to Grace Retreat is a deeply supportive, intimate weekend designed to help you gently move through what has been stored in your body… and begin to soften. This is not about pushing, fixing, or forcing healing. This is about being held, feeling safe, and allowing your body to release in its own time.
This retreat is for you if…
  • You're exhausted by grief that won't lift
  • You feel it in your body, not just your mind
  • You're ready for something deeper and gentler
  • You need to be held, not just advised
The Experience
This retreat is intentionally designed as a boutique, women-only experience bringing together a small, carefully held group for meaningful connection and deep personal work. Every element is thoughtfully layered to support your body in moving from holding… to releasing… to reconnecting.
Somatic Grief Integration

Gentle Movement & Release

Friday Evening: Soft Landing
Arrival + Settling In
You'll arrive into a warm, welcoming space designed to help you immediately exhale. There is nothing you need to perform, prepare, or present. The evening is soft, calm, and intentionally paced, a true landing.
We begin with check-in, time to settle into your room, and a nourishing gourmet group dinner shared in community. From there, we gather for an opening circle and intention setting, a gentle invitation to begin arriving, not just in body, but in spirit.
The evening closes with grounding breathwork and quiet reflection, creating a soft inner container for the deeper work ahead.
Saturday: The Body Remembers
Saturday is where we gently begin to explore what your body has been holding, with care, with safety, and with profound compassion for wherever you are in your journey. Deanna is known for her ability to hold a deeply compassionate and grounded space where women feel safe, seen, and supported. Blending intuitive guidance with trauma-informed coaching, she gently supports each participant in navigating their experience at a pace that honours their nervous system. Her approach allows for a natural, healthy flow of emotion and release, creating space for healing to unfold without pressure, force, or expectation.
Morning: Somatic Awareness
We begin with an exploration of how grief lives in the body and nervous system. Through somatic awareness practices, you'll gently learn to connect with stored emotion; safely, tenderly, and at your own pace. Trauma-informed breathwork and gentle movement support emotional flow and nervous system release.
Afternoon: From Feeling to Expression
Through a guided meditation and quiet movement, you'll be invited to transition into an art-based experience. No artistic skill is needed. This is about allowing what cannot always be spoken to find expression. Following this emotional work, we shift intentionally into restoration; using restorative practices, quiet integration time, and space to rest, reflect, or simply be.
Evening: Sound Healing + Ritual
The evening becomes deeply immersive and restorative. A full-body sound healing session uses vibration and stillness to support deep integration. We close with candlelit reflection and a gentle release practice creating a space to honour what has been… and begin softening into what is next.
Woven Throughout Your Weekend
Woven into every day of the retreat are dedicated group grief coaching sessions: a gentle, guided journey through three profound questions: Who were you? Who are you now? Who are you becoming? These sessions shift and evolve with each retreat, shaped by the unique women in the room and the collective energy of the group.
Who Were You?
Honouring the woman who existed before loss. Exploring identity, relationships, and the life you carried.
Who Are You Now?
Meeting yourself with compassion in this present moment. Acknowledging what grief has changed, taken, and quietly revealed.
Who Are You Becoming?
Beginning to sense the woman emerging on the other side. Planting seeds of possibility without rushing the process.
Depending on the date and location of your retreat, Energy Work and Yoga may also be woven into your weekend experience each offering thoughtfully chosen to support your nervous system and deepen your integration.
Sunday Morning: Reconnection
The final morning is a tender, intentional gathering of everything you've moved through. Rather than an ending, Sunday is an integration, a chance to receive the tools, insights, and body awareness that will continue to support you long after you return home.
You'll be guided through somatic practices you can take with you: simple, accessible tools for emotional regulation, breathwork for difficult moments, and reflection on what has genuinely shifted over the weekend.
We close with a closing circle: a sacred, held space where each woman has the opportunity to anchor her experience, name what she's carrying forward, and receive the witness of her community.
We then gather for one final nourishing lunch together: a gentle, grounded transition back into your world, carrying something lighter within you.
Nourishment for Body and Soul
All meals throughout the weekend are gourmet and thoughtfully prepared onsite, using ingredients and menus designed to support and not burden your body as it does its deep work.
Light Yet Nourishing
Meals are crafted to feel both satisfying and gentle, giving your body the fuel it needs without heaviness or distraction.
Nervous System Supportive
Ingredients are chosen with care to support regulation, calm inflammation, and keep your system open to the somatic and emotional work of the weekend.
Easy on Digestion
Your digestive system is closely connected to your emotional state. Meals are designed to honour that connection and support ease throughout.
Accommodations
Your space during the retreat has been thoughtfully chosen to feel like a true refuge: comfortable, calming, and restorative. Each room is designed to allow you to fully settle into the experience, with the privacy and peace you need to process, rest, and restore between sessions.
Single Occupancy
Your own private, peaceful space ideal for those who need solitude to fully settle and integrate.
Shared Occupancy
A calming shared space for those who welcome gentle companionship and the warmth of community even in rest.
Intimate by Design
Maximum 16 Women
This retreat is deliberately limited to a small group of sixteen women. This is not accidental, it is foundational. Healing of this depth requires safety, and safety requires intimacy. Small enough that every woman is truly seen. Large enough to create the resonance and shared humanity that reminds us we are not alone in our grief.
Safety Through Smallness
A small group creates the conditions for genuine vulnerability where you can show up fully without fear of being lost in the crowd or performing for others.
Connection Through Community
Shared experience with other women who truly understand creates a bond that often becomes one of the most unexpected gifts of the weekend.
Space for Every Woman
Each participant receives individual care and attention, ensuring that your unique experience of grief is honored rather than generalized.
Is This Retreat For You?
You don't need to have the right words for your grief. You don't need to be in a particular stage or chapter of loss. You simply need to feel the quiet knowing that something in you is ready: ready to be held, to soften, and to begin moving forward.
Navigating Grief or Loss
Whether your loss is recent or years old, whether it is the death of a person, a relationship, an identity, or a dream: grief is grief. All of it is welcome here.
Feeling Emotionally Heavy
When the weight has become too familiar when you wake up tired and go to bed tired, and the heaviness has simply become your baseline, this retreat offers a different possibility.
Holding Tension in the Body
If grief lives in your chest, your throat, your shoulders: if your body is speaking what your mind hasn't fully processed, somatic work offers a gentle, body-first pathway through.
Moving Through Life Transitions
Major life changes, the end of a marriage, a health crisis, an identity shift, the loss of what you thought your life would be, carry their own grief. This space holds all of it.
